The Former President and Jubilee Party leader HE Uhuru Kenyatta has sharply criticized the current administration, accusing it of implementing “experimental projects” that have worsened the country’s economic situation.
Speaking during the Jubilee Party’s National Delegates Council (NDC) meeting on Friday, the former Head of State said that the government had abandoned proven policies in favor of untested ventures that have left ordinary Kenyans struggling with high costs of living and dwindling opportunities.
“The regime has untried ,untested schemes which the for experiments it's taking too much time to work. What Kenyans need are sound, sustainable policies that secure livelihoods and restore confidence, not trial-and-error strategies that only deepen the crisis,” H.E. Uhuru told the delegates, drawing applause from the gathering.
He warned that ill-advised initiatives and frequent policy shifts had disrupted key sectors, particularly Health ,Education and security.
The remarks come at a time when the government is under mounting pressure over rising inflation, heavy taxation, and slow job creation. Jubilee officials at the meeting vowed to continue holding the regime accountable while pushing for policies that put citizens’ welfare first.
Political observers note that the former President’s speech signaled a renewed effort by Jubilee to reassert itself as a strong opposition voice, even as internal divisions have threatened the party’s influence in recent years.
