KAJIADO COUNTY NOMINATED MCA HON NAIS KARIA URGES KENYANS TO VISIT AMBOSELI AND EXPERIENCE THE RICH MAASAI CULTURE

Kajiado County nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) and Chairperson of the Culture and Heritage Committee Hon has called on both local and international tourists to visit Amboseli and experience the unique and vibrant Maasai culture  on the Upcoming Maa Festival this November amoment she says will define the region.

Speaking during a media engagement in Kajiado County, the MCA said Amboseli is not only home to the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro views and diverse wildlife, but also a cultural haven where visitors can interact with the Maasai community, learn their traditions, and enjoy their colorful music, dance, and crafts.

She noted that cultural tourism remains one of the most sustainable ways of promoting local economies while preserving indigenous knowledge and practices.

“We invite everyone to come to Amboseli and immerse themselves in the Maasai way of life — from the traditional manyattas to the beadwork and storytelling that have been passed down for generations,” she said.

Hon Nais aspiring Woman Rep Kajiado County also highlighted the county government’s efforts to support cultural festivals and empower local artisans to showcase their skills to the world.

She urged young people to take pride in their cultural roots and use art and heritage as tools for economic empowerment and tourism growth.

Amboseli, one of Kenya’s leading tourist destinations, continues to attract thousands of visitors annually for its wildlife safaris and authentic cultural experiences, making it a perfect blend of nature and tradition.
